For clinics
The short version. ClinicTrue is a contact portal. It shows patients in the US and Canada the prices your clinic publishes on its own website, with a link and the date we saw it, and what the public registry said about your clinic on the day we looked. Patients pick up to 3 clinics and we pass their request to those clinics by email. Listing is free. There is no fee at launch. We do not rank clinics and no clinic can pay to move up.
What patients see
For each clinic we show:
- The clinic's name and city, and a link to its website.
- Each procedure price we found on the clinic's website, in the currency it was published in, with the page address and the date we saw it. Where a page shows a range, we show the range.
- What the clinic's page said the price includes, copied from the clinic's own list, and what it does not list.
- A US dollar figure beside the price, at the exchange rate on the capture date.
- The typical US price for the same procedure, where we have one, with its source.
- A registry check line. See below.
We do not write opinions about clinics. If a line about your clinic is not a quote from your website or a registry record, with a link, it does not appear.
We show paying and non-paying clinics the same way, in the same order, with the same checks. If a paid placement ever exists, it will carry a "Sponsored" label.
How we got your price
We visited your website, found the price on a public page and copied it. We did not round it, bundle it or add to it. We recorded the page address and the date. If your page changes and we have not looked again, our copy is out of date and the date shows it.
Registry check lines
Colombia. We look each clinic up in REPS, the Ministry of Health's public register of health providers. We match by name and city, backed by a phone number or address on the record. We show what the record said on the day we looked and link it. A check line means only that. It says nothing about outcomes and it is not a rating.
Mexico. The public directory of the Consejo Mexicano de Cirugía Plástica, Estética y Reconstructiva (CMCPER), at https://directoriocirugiaplastica.mx/, blocks automated lookups, so we do not match clinics against it ourselves. We link patients to the directory and tell them how to search it. On Mexican clinic pages we show only your price, the date and the source, with the notice "Prices are published by each clinic, as of the date shown, and can change." Anything your site says about licences or certification appears as your own claim, labelled as such.
If we receive a credible report of harm at a clinic, we remove its check line and say on the page that we removed it. A credible report means a named news report, a court or regulator record, or a complaint with evidence. ClinicTrue's operator decides and records the reason. We write to the clinic when we do.
Correct or add a price
We only show prices that are on your own website. So a correction works like this:
- Update the price on your own website.
- Email [email protected] (or [email protected] in Spanish) with the link to the page.
- We re-capture the price from that page and update the listing within 5 business days.
We cannot take a price from an email, a PDF, a WhatsApp message or a brochure. If it is not on your website, it does not go on ClinicTrue. The same applies to adding a procedure we have not listed. Publish it on your site, then send us the link.
Claim your listing
Claiming is free. It lets you:
- Set the email address where patient requests arrive.
- Ask us to re-capture a price after you change your site.
- Add your surgeons' registry numbers so we can link the records.
- Tell us which procedures you want requests for.
To claim, write to [email protected] from an email address on your clinic's own website domain. If that is not possible, we give you a short code to place on a page of your own site, and we check it there. Claiming does not change how your clinic is shown or where it appears.
How patient requests reach you
When a patient ticks your clinic on our form, you receive one email with:
- The request reference number.
- The patient's first name, email, and phone or WhatsApp if given, and how they prefer to be contacted.
- The procedure, the city and a rough travel month.
- Their message, if they wrote one.
- The consent line the patient agreed to, and the time they sent it.
The email is in Spanish first, then English, in one message. A reply to it goes straight to the patient.
The patient chose your clinic. We did not recommend it and we did not match them to you. You receive only your own copy and are not told which other clinics the patient picked. Reply to the patient directly. We are not part of that conversation and we do not see it.
If your clinic has not claimed its listing, requests go to the contact email published on your own website.
To stop receiving requests, reply "stop" to any request email or write to [email protected]. We remove your clinic from the quote form within 2 business days and stop sending it requests. The listing of your publicly published facts, meaning your name, city, published prices with their source and the registry lines, stays on the site, because those facts are public. If anything in it is inaccurate, tell us and we correct it within 5 business days.
Fees
Patients never pay. At launch, clinics pay nothing.
Later, there will be a fixed fee for each patient request we pass to your clinic. Before it starts, we will tell you the amount in writing and ask you to agree. The fee:
- is the same fixed amount per request for every clinic;
- never depends on whether the patient books;
- is never a share of a patient's bill;
- never buys a higher position on the site.
Paying does not change what patients see about your clinic or the order clinics appear in.
Clinics in Colombia: identification details
Colombian consumer law (Ley 1480 de 2011, Art. 53) requires a portal de contacto to hold identification details for every business it lists. For each Colombian clinic we ask for the business name (razón social), the NIT, a physical address for notices and a phone number. We may give these to a patient with a complaint, or to an authority that asks. We do not publish them beyond what your own website already shows.
Correction or takedown
If something on your listing is wrong, use the Correct or remove a clinic page. It says what we can change, what we need from you and how long it takes. Prices change only when your website changes.
